Bend Fire crews were called to the scene of a broken gas line along Shevlin Park Road Thursday morning. Contractors struck a four-inch line while installing the new sewer line. The area was closed to traffic in both directions before the leak was fixed.
The leak was away from buildings and homes and did not pose a threat, but the odor of gas is detectable in the area.
