Cleburne County authorities allege a Drasco man placed a hidden camera in a bathroom to obtain images of children.
According to the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office, Rustey Williams (pictured below), 41, was arrested after a woman contacted the office on March 11 to report the discovery of a camera in the bathroom her juvenile children utilize. Cleburne County Sheriff Chris Brown said detectives initiated an investigation, gathered statements, and seized items from Williams’ home after executing a search warrant.
The sheriff said other allegations were also discovered during the investigation, leading to Williams’s eventual arrest later that day.
Williams faces multiple counts, including rape, video voyeurism (three counts), sexual extortion, possession of child pornography, and possessing an illegal still. He is currently held at the Cleburne County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
Brown said the investigation is ongoing.
