The American Red Cross will open a Disaster Assistance Center in Hardy on Thursday to help residents whose homes were damaged by recent tornadoes, flooding, and severe weather.
The center will be located at the Historic Old Hardy Gym, 201 School Ave., open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 1.
Red Cross personnel will be available to discuss eligibility for financial assistance with those affected by the storms.
Individuals seeking information and wishing to register for potential financial aid are encouraged to visit the center. They can also begin the registration process online by completing a form at www.redcross.org/gethelp.
