Pack your blankets and lawn chairs — Batesville’s Fourth of July celebration is moving to roomier digs this year.

The annual Citizens Bank Celebrate America, sponsored by Sonic, will be held Friday at the Batesville Municipal Golf Course instead of its traditional home at Riverside Park.

The venue change offers significantly more space for visitors to enjoy live entertainment, fireworks, food vendors, and family-friendly activities.

Most of the course will be open to the public, although areas such as the putting greens and a designated blast zone will be marked and closed to the public. (See the map below.)

The main stage will be set up on the west side of Pioneer Stadium, with food trucks and vendor booths in the adjoining parking lot. While fireworks will be visible from nearly any location on the course, organizers say the best view will be from the fairway directly perpendicular to the stadium.

Early arrival is recommended because parking near the event is limited. Although there are no assigned parking areas, nearby facilities — including Batesville High School, Batesville Junior High School, and the Batesville Community Center — may offer available parking. Visitors should follow posted signs and avoid blocking driveways.

Some nearby roads will be closed during the event due to ongoing city construction and safety measures related to fireworks. Organizers also ask that pets be left at home to help protect the condition of the golf course.

Citizens Bank Assistant Vice President of Community Engagement Ashley Davis spoke with White River Now’s Chad Whiteaker on Arkansas 103.3 KWOZ this morning about the changes. Listen to their conversation below.
