A Batesville man has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Thirty-six-year-old Nathaniel Lloyd Nerdin was sentenced Tuesday by Judge Tim Weaver to 48 months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
The case began when Arkansas State Police received a cyber tip about suspected child sexual abuse material uploaded to an email address in October 2024.
A search warrant executed at Nerdin’s College Street apartment in January revealed more than 32,000 images and over 1,700 videos on his phone, including CSAM. Upon his release, Nerdin must register as a sex offender and pay court costs in monthly installments.
