The Independence County Assessor’s Office has completed its five-year property reappraisal cycle, ahead of a transition to a statewide four-year reappraisal schedule.
Independence County residents may have received notifications of changes in their property values.
Residents who believe their assessed values are inaccurate may request a hearing with the county’s Board of Equalization. To schedule an appointment, contact the Independence County Clerk’s Office at 870-793-8828 before the deadline of Aug. 18, 2025.
