Cave City man arrested on human trafficking, sexual assault charges

A Cave City man wanted on human trafficking and sexual assault charges was arrested Monday morning, authorities said.

The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office said Aaron William Lee McCall, 35, was taken into custody around 7:35 a.m. at a residence on East Maxville Road. The arrest was made in cooperation with the U.S. Marshals Service, FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, Arkansas State Police, and the Arkansas Department of Corrections.

McCall was wanted in White County on charges of human trafficking and second-degree sexual assault involving a juvenile. He was transported to White County after his arrest, the sheriff’s office said.

Sheriff Shane Russell thanked law enforcement partners for their assistance. “I would like to thank all agencies for their support and efforts in making Sharp County a safer place,” Russell said in a statement.
