White River Health and First Community Bank will host HealthFirst: A Healthcare Adventure on Oct. 7 at the Batesville Community Center gymnasium.
The free event, scheduled from 4 to 6:30 p.m., will offer health screenings, educational resources, physician presentations, and prize drawings.
Available screenings include blood pressure checks, abnormal skin spot assessments, carotid screening, body fat percentage analysis, mammogram and colon cancer screening scheduling, and diabetic foot screening. Attendees can also receive flu shots.
Additional services include functional mobility and fall risk testing, healthy CT scheduling, lipid panel testing to measure cholesterol, glucose, and thyroid levels, scoliosis screenings for individuals 18 and under, and prostate-specific antigen testing for men. The event will also provide a drug take-back service for safe medication disposal.
Dr. Rob Emery will present on overactive bladder and urology topics, while Dr. Jeffrey Keller will discuss colon cancer screening and prevention through a surgical perspective. Educational sessions on urology and breast care will also be available.
Arkansas State Parks will participate in the event, which emphasizes the importance of outdoor activities as part of a healthy lifestyle.
