Ashley Conder, nurse for the Midland School District, was recently named to receive the October Citizens Bank “Shine Like a Mustang” award.
The recognition, presented monthly at the Midland School Board meeting, celebrates staff members who embody the district’s vision of engaging in high-level learning and embracing challenges without fear of failure.
Citizens Bank and the district created the program to highlight employees who “shine” in their roles and make meaningful contributions to the school community. Honorees are nominated by colleagues and receive a Certificate of Excellence, a $25 gift card, and a 16-ounce insulated cup from Citizens Bank.
Conder was praised for her compassionate, student-centered care and calm professionalism.
“Ashley goes above and beyond every single day to care for our students,” one colleague shared. “She provides not only medical attention, but emotional support and comfort. Her calm, kind, and professional demeanor makes students feel safe and cared for. Ashley is a true team player who always steps up when needed and brings a positive, compassionate presence to our school.”
