The Batesville Police Department has launched a new mobile app designed to give residents and visitors easier access to police services, public information, and community alerts.

The free app is available now in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. It can be downloaded by searching “Batesville PD AR” or by visiting www.batesvillepolicear.gov/app.

Police Chief John Scarbrough said the app will serve as an additional tool for transparency and community engagement.

“The new upgraded mobile app features information for the public, provides transparency for the Police Department, and encourages the public to take a more active role in community policing efforts,” Scarbrough said. “We invite all residents and visitors to download our app and sign up for our push notifications. We believe it will be a huge benefit to the Batesville Police Department and its residents.”

The app offers quick access to key features from the department’s website, including contact information, services, frequently asked questions, press releases, a sex offender map, the chief’s messages, a crime tip submission form, and employment listings.

Users can also customize their experience by subscribing to push notifications about sex offender updates, department news releases, general alerts, and messages from the chief.

Officials said the app supports the department’s community policing efforts and serves as a convenient information hub for residents and visitors alike.
