Multi-county drug investigations lead to arrests in 16th Judicial District

The 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force has concluded multiple extensive narcotics investigations over the past several months, resulting in numerous arrests across Independence, Stone, Fulton, Cleburne and Izard counties, prosecutors announced on Thursday.

The yearlong investigations targeted methamphetamine, cocaine and other controlled substances and led to formal charges against suspects throughout the district. According to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, those charged include:

• Constance Renee Morris, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver involving 10 to 200 grams of methamphetamine, with 103 grams seized.
• David Perkins, possession of a controlled substance involving less than 2 grams.
• David Meaded, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Michael Goodman, two counts of delivery of methamphetamine.
• Phillip Powell, delivery of methamphetamine.
• Teddy Harris, possession of methamphetamine.
• Hannah Avalos Perez, two counts of delivery of methamphetamine.
• Jessie Smith, delivery of methamphetamine.
• Benny Hutchins, two counts of delivery of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug premises.
• James Magouirk, delivery of methamphetamine.
• Kimberly Shrake, delivery of a Schedule III narcotic and delivery of methamphetamine.
• Darvell Nelson, delivery of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug premises.
• Nick Ford, two counts of delivery of cocaine and one count of delivery of methamphetamine.
• Richard Goodman and Tracey Childress, possession of methamphetamine involving 10 to 200 grams, with 72 grams seized.
• Brian Hill, two counts of delivery of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug premises.
• Joshua Carpenter, delivery of methamphetamine.
• Donna Shipman, three counts of delivery of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug premises.
• Robert Michael Rogers, two counts of delivery of methamphetamine.
• Katherine Dehart, two counts of delivery of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug premises, with a warrant issued.
• Mary Jane Conrey, delivery of methamphetamine, warrant issued.
• Joshua Gordon, delivery of methamphetamine, warrant issued.

 

“These arrests emphasize our unwavering commitment to holding drug offenders accountable and protecting our communities,” Prosecuting Attorney Drew Smith said in a statement. “Our Drug Task Force and partner agencies have demonstrated exceptional teamwork, dedication and perseverance in disrupting drug networks that threaten public safety.”

The Task Force thanked local, county and state agencies for their cooperation.
