U.S. 20 east of Sweet Home is open, about half a day earlier than scheduled.
“We are nearing completion of a landslide repair project,” says ODOT. “Work will continue in the daytime, requiring lane closures but not full closure of the highway.”
The full highway closure, originally scheduled for Sept. 9-21, started two days late due to the pause in highway work during wildfire red flag conditions the weekend of Sept. 10-11. “So we pushed the two-week closure forward two days.”
