Some area drivers might be impacted by two separate work projects over the next few days.
The City of Batesville says a contractor will be working at the corner of North Central Avenue and West Pine Street through the weekend. In a release, the city said the contracting team has excavated a large hole and the West Pine entrance off of Central will be blocked. They hope to have it open by Monday afternoon.
And Independence County Judge Kevin Jeffery said the county will be shutting down Cedar Grove Road at the Antioch Road intersection Monday. Jeffery said the road will be shut down so workers can repair a bridge. Providing weather cooperates, the shutdown is scheduled for three weeks.
