Terry Ann Ford (pictured above, left, with Citizens Bank’s Landon Downing), physical education teacher at Sulphur Rock Elementary, is the Match recipient of the Citizens Bank “Above & Beyond” Award.

In a release, Citizens Bank said, “With a priority to see every student enjoy sports and P.E., Coach Ford’s mentorship mentality is recognized by her colleagues.”

Some of her colleagues said:

  • “Coach Ford goes above and beyond every day. She doesn’t just coach and teach P.E. but also intervenes with students who need that little extra help. In addition, she does early morning bus duty, and I notice many students giving her a hug as they walk in the door. What a great way to start the day!”
  • “Terri Ann is always happy and always doing so much for our students. She is a ‘yes’ person and wants to make sure every student has a positive experience in P.E. and in sports. We are very lucky to have her here.”
  • “Coach Ford invests in the Sulphur Rock sports program! She always does so much for our students each and every day, before hours or after hours! She is an amazing person and mentor.”

Since 2012, Citizens Bank and the Batesville School District have recognized staff members who go “above and beyond” to realize the district’s mission to empower today’s students for tomorrow’s challenges. Staff in all schools and departments throughout the district nominate award recipients, who receive a Certificate of Excellence, a $25 gift card, and a 16-ounce insulated cup from Citizens Bank. The award is presented at the Batesville School Board meeting each month.
