The Central Oregon Beekeeping Association is excited to announce our 2024 Honey Bee Field Day and Picnic, celebrating World Honey Bee Day. This event offers a unique opportunity for hands-on learning and community engagement. We encourage all members and the public to attend this free event, which is perfect for experienced beekeepers, aspiring beekeepers, and non-beekeepers of all ages.
Visit our website for a schedule of activities for both beekeepers and non-beekeepers.
Participation in our annual picnic and live bee inspections requires both registration and a signed safety waiver. You can pre-register on our website, or at the registration table on the day of the event.
What to Bring:
• Lawn chair
• Water bottle
• Picnic lunch (and perhaps a food/drink item to share made with honey)
• Clothes that can get accidentally painted (for the artists of the day)
Note: The general public is welcome to all talks and sessions. Please note, however, that the experienced sessions are targeted for experienced beekeepers.
Come celebrate the incredible honey bee and enjoy a day filled with learning, fun, and community spirit. See you at Well Rooted Produce on August 17th.
