Authorities have arrested a Batesville man on four felony counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting explicit conduct involving a child.
According to court information, authorities charged Nathaniel Lloyd Nerdin (pictured below), 36, after a cyber-tip alerted authorities to suspected child sexual abuse material being uploaded to an account linked to a Batesville resident.

Nerdin’s arrest affidavit said a January search warrant of his phone yielded thousands of images and over 1,700 videos — ninety percent of which were classified by investigators as pornography — including child porn.

According to the affidavit, Nerdin told investigators he had been paying for pornography but that sites “were sending him porn that he was not asking for.” He said he “got rid of his account,” but he was still getting material from an online site.

Nerdin is being held on a bond of $100,000.
