The Humane Society of Independence County (HSIC) is inviting the community and their canine companions to their annual “Bark in the Park” event on Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Due to the Riverside Park renovations, this year’s event will take place at the scenic Couch Garden, located behind Brown Chapel on the campus of Lyon College in Batesville.
The theme for this year’s event is “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dogs.” Activities planned include food trucks, concessions that will benefit the Humane Society of Independence County, an amateur dog show, an “alumni strut” featuring former HSIC dogs, the annual wiener dog race, and the announcement of the “Bad Boy Bandit” raffle winner.
