The City of Bend invites local organizations, cultural groups, and community members to apply for funding to support events during Welcoming Week 2025, which will take place September 12–21. Welcoming Week is an annual, nationwide celebration that brings together neighbors of all backgrounds to build strong connections and affirm the City’s commitment to inclusion and belonging.
In 2024, the City and St. Charles Bend helped fund 17 free, community-led events—many of them multilingual—that created space for dialogue, connection, and cultural celebration. This year, the City will once again provide funding to support events that uplift the experiences of Bend’s diverse communities and highlight how we are building a city where everyone feels they belong.
Applicants are encouraged to bring forward their most creative and community-rooted ideas—whether centered on culture and connectedness, community dialogue, or broadening outreach and visibility. Events should reflect the unique strengths and perspectives of the communities they serve, with an emphasis on accessibility, collaboration, and impact.
Applications are due by July 1, 2025, and award decisions will be shared by July 15.

Groups who wish to host an event but do not require funding are still welcome to participate in Welcoming Week and do not need to apply for funding.
