White River Specialized Industries (WRSI) marked the grand opening of its new location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce.

The event, held May 8 at WRSI’s newly relocated facility at 300 Blossom Drive in Batesville (pictured below), welcomed community members for guided tours showcasing the center’s activity and education stations, as well as group classes offered to clients.

WRSI, a division of The Community School Inc., provides adult day services for individuals with cognitive impairments and physical disabilities. Its supervised programs promote social, physical, and emotional well-being, while offering respite for caregivers and meaningful engagement for participants.

“The longevity and dedication of our team is amazing, with a majority of our employees serving 30-plus years helping our clients thrive and meet their highest potential,” said Joe McAdams, Director of WRSI. “We have one individual that began his journey with us as a baby at our parent organization, The Community School, and is still with the program today, which shows us that our work is important and impactful throughout our clients’ lives.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Chamber Ambassadors and representatives from local organizations, including Amy Crouch-Howard of Weichert, Realtors – The Property Shoppe; Andrea Bruner of Network of Community Options; Brenda Rivera and Peter Rouiler of First Community Bank; Cassidy Mitchell of Lyon College; Christina Watts of LaCroix Precision Optics; Cori Perkey of Southern Bank; Eva Henriksen of Merchants & Planters Bank; John High of Qualls Batesville Funeral Service; Katelyn Holt of Family Chiropractic Care; Kristi Morgan of FNBC; and Michael Kelley of Peco Foods.
