An 18-year-old man, Isaac Graham Land, was arrested on May 30, 2025, after being found hiding under a bed with a loaded handgun in a Stone County residence, according to law enforcement.

Officer Tyler Jorgensen was initially dispatched to the home following a report of a man with a gun and possible injuries. Two juveniles at the scene denied any knowledge of the situation, and a search of the home did not locate Land. The officer cleared the scene after finding no evidence to support the initial report.

About ten minutes later, the homeowner reported that Land had been found hiding under a bed. Officers returned, and one of the juveniles stated she saw part of a shoe under her bed, matching what Land had previously worn. Officers entered the room and found Land lying under the bed with his hand on a loaded Glock 17 pointed toward an officer.

Land complied with commands to remove his hand from the weapon, and he was taken into custody without further incident. The handgun contained ten rounds, including one in the chamber.

According to the arrest affidavit, Land later admitted to hiding when he saw police and acknowledged pointing the firearm at law enforcement. He is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a prior felony conviction on May 13, 2025. He was transported to the Stone County Jail.

Land is charged with three felonies: possession of firearms by a certain person, aggravated assault, and breaking and entering. His bond has been set at $75,000. He is also being charged as a habitual offender.
