The Rotary Club of Batesville has announced the recipients of its 2025 Community Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations for outstanding service and dedication to the community.
The Warming Center at First United Methodist Church received the Making a Difference Service Award. The honor recognizes individuals or organizations that demonstrate compassion, selflessness and a commitment to improving the lives of others in the community.
Jenine Ottaway and the Sulphur Rock EAST Program received the Outstanding Community Service Award. The award is given to a person or group that has made a significant impact on the community by going the extra mile to improve quality of life or support local causes and projects.
Jabeth Willett, a teacher at Cedar Ridge School, was named Educator of the Year. The award honors educators who show exceptional care for their students and go above and beyond in their efforts to support them academically and personally.
Officer Ashley Edwards, with the Cedar Ridge School District, was named Role Model of the Year. The award recognizes public servants — such as police officers, firefighters, paramedics and first responders — who exceed expectations in service and serve as role models within the community.
Award recipients will be honored at the Rotary Club’s annual banquet, scheduled for June 30.
