A Batesville man remains in custody at the Independence County Jail after being charged with three felony counts, including possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Jesse Lyle Longamore, 38, was arrested June 21 following an investigation that began when Batesville Police responded to a residence regarding suspicious activity.
According to court documents, on May 17, Officer Oscar Salas spoke with a woman who reported that a man had arrived at her home claiming her husband, Longamore, had been texting a minor.
The man, identified as Robert Bloom, told police he operates an online page called “Bikers Against Predators” and had created a Facebook account under the name “Gabby Brooks,” posing as a 12-year-old girl. Bloom said an account using Longamore’s wife’s name contacted the fake profile, and after learning “Gabby” was “almost 13,” the account sent explicit images, including nude photographs of Longamore.
(According to its website, “Bikers Against Predators” said its mission is to expose online predators to help spread awareness and education to as many citizens as possible while having these predators face justice for their crimes.)
When “Gabby” suggested meeting at a local elementary school on May 17, Bloom went to the location, but Longamore did not appear. That’s when Bloom went to Longamore’s residence to confront him.
During subsequent interviews with authorities, Longamore’s wife confirmed her husband created the Facebook account using her name. She said Longamore told her the account originally belonged to an ex-girlfriend.
In a separate interview with authorities, Longamore denied sending nude pictures or requesting to meet the fictional minor.

In early June, Longamore’s wife returned to police with additional concerns, reporting that her husband was attempting to convince his 12-year-old son to claim responsibility for the messages. She also said Longamore changed the Facebook account identity again.
Longamore is being held on a $50,000 bond. He is charged with possession or use of child sexual abuse material; sexually grooming a child; and sexual indecency with a child.
