Teen Arrested For Weapons Offense

Bend Police arrested a 17-year-old Bend resident after they say he broke into a man’s car and threatened him with a gun. According to Bend PD:

At approximately 7:39 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, Bend Police responded after a 911 caller reported he’d had a gun pulled on him in front of his home. The caller reported he’d seen a young man riffling through his vehicle, and when he confronted him, the suspect threatened him with a gun before running away.

A large police presence in the area searched for the suspect near where he was last seen at the corner of NW Hunter Place and Sisemore Street, Bend Police officers were able to identify the suspect using an image taken by the victim. At approximately 9:27 p.m., officers took the 17-year-old suspect into custody without incident at his home in the 100 block of NW Florida Avenue.
