Authorities have released the name of a teenager who was killed in a one-vehicle accident in Batesville earlier this month.
According to Arkansas State Police, Kenneth Mack Edward McCorkle, 18, died after his southbound Ford Edge struck a retaining wall on St. Louis Street and then caught fire. The accident, which occurred just before 4 a.m. on July 6 near the Tai Lee restaurant, occurred during clear and dry weather, the report said.
State police said McCorkle’s listed city of residence is Defuniak Springs, Florida, but according to authorities, he had family ties in the Pulaski County area.
