Lyon College is calling on local businesses and organizations to take part in its upcoming SCOT Week Community Fair, scheduled for Monday, Aug. 18, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Edwards Commons student center on campus.
The fair marks the beginning of the academic year and offers an opportunity for local vendors, service providers, churches and community groups to connect with Lyon College students, faculty and staff. Organizers say the event is aimed at helping students get acquainted with the Batesville area and the resources available within the community.
Participating businesses are encouraged to bring promotional items, product samples or offer giveaways to engage attendees. Tables and chairs will be provided free of charge, though space is limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Those interested in reserving a booth or seeking more information should contact Carol Langston at Carol.Langston@lyon.edu by Friday, Aug. 8.
