Political announcement
Thomas Kendrick announces his intent to run for Circuit Judge, Division Two in the 16th Judicial District in the March 3, 2026 election. The 16th District includes Cleburne, Independence, Izard, Fulton, and Stone Counties.
“During my career I have represented thousands of clients from routine traffic offenses to making constitutional arguments before the Arkansas Supreme Court. I understand how our judicial system operates and interacts at every level because I have practiced at every level.”
Kendrick has over fifteen years of courtroom experience and began his career at the public defender’s office in Pulaski and Perry counties. He has served the 16th Judicial District since 2013 and has experience handling misdemeanor and felony cases, juvenile cases, civil commitments, and appeals. He has also tried numerous jury trials in the district as both lead counsel and second chair.
“Because my practice has always been made up of average Arkansans I understand the challenges that everyday people face when they become involved with the court system. One major challenge our district continues to face is drug addiction as it disrupts and damages families and our community. In my time serving the district I have been fortunate to participate in the Independence and Izard/Fulton County Drug Court Programs. I have seen firsthand how our drug courts can help individuals break the cycle of addiction and go on to live sober and fulfilling lives. As Circuit Judge I would staunchly support the continuation of the drug court program in our district because I believe it helps reunite families by directly addressing the causes of an individual’s drug addiction and makes our community safer.
“I believe my experience representing average people at all levels of our judicial system makes me especially qualified to serve as Circuit Judge. I will appreciate your vote on March 3.”
