Stone Bank will sponsor a blood drive Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its Mountain View location. The Arkansas Blood Institute’s mobile unit will be stationed at the bank at 802 E. Main St. to collect donations.
The blood drive aims to supply the area’s healthcare providers with the needed blood. Community members interested in donating can schedule appointments online at www.arkbi.org by clicking “Find a Blood Drive” and entering the Mountain View ZIP code 72560. Appointments can also be arranged by contacting Melissa Sutton at 870-819-4743. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Participants will receive a “Retro Summer Camp” T-shirt and a ticket for free entry to Magic Springs.
Potential donors must meet specific age and weight requirements. Donors who are 16 must weigh at least 125 pounds and provide signed parental permission. Individuals aged 17 must weigh at least 125 pounds. Adults 18 and older must weigh at least 110 pounds.
All donors must present photo identification.
