Five men have pleaded guilty in connection with a 2023 shooting at a Newport concert that killed a teenager and injured several others, authorities said.
Gunfire erupted around 2:30 a.m. Feb. 5, 2023, at the former Branch High School on Clay Street, where a large crowd had gathered for a concert. Nineteen-year-old Tamrionna Jarrett, of Augusta, was killed, and multiple people were wounded.
The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division and Newport police said the case closed with convictions for all five suspects:
Tashawn Landers, 24, pleaded guilty June 25, 2025, to second-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, and six counts of committing a terroristic act. He was sentenced to 660 months in prison.
Steven Dye, 21, pleaded guilty May 5, 2025, to the same charges and was sentenced to 300 months.
Dedrick Robinson, 24, was sentenced to 240 months for hindering apprehension and tampering with evidence.
Aaron Warren III, 31, and Richard McGee, 33, each received 84 months of felony probation for committing a terroristic act and aggravated assault.
