A Clarendon High School football coach has been arrested and charged with rape after authorities say he sexually assaulted a minor.
Caleb Hunter Gannon, 27, was taken into custody without incident Sunday, Aug. 10, during a traffic stop in West Memphis, Arkansas State Police said.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the state police Criminal Investigation Division on July 30 to investigate the allegations, according to authorities.
Arkansas State Police said Gannon appeared in court Monday, Aug. 11, and was formally charged with felony rape and engaging children in sexually explicit conduct for use in a visual or print medium. His bond was set at $3 million.
He is being held at the Prairie County Detention Center.
