Cave City is taking a significant step toward revitalizing its historic downtown.
According to a release from the Cave City Area Chamber of Commerce, “the designation follows months of work by the volunteer application steering committee, whose members crafted a bold vision for the community’s future, and an in-person application presentation earlier this summer by Cave City Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Brandi Schulz and Mayor Jonas Anderson. The project and now-defined Main Street district has been dubbed ‘The Heart of Cave City.’”
“This partnership will bring expert guidance, training, and new opportunities to build an even stronger, more vibrant Cave City,” said Anderson.
The chamber said Cave City’s inclusion in the program aligns with ongoing projects aimed at improving infrastructure, beautifying public spaces, and expanding business opportunities. The designation is expected to enhance grant eligibility, attract private investment, and strengthen partnerships between local government, the business community, and residents.
“This was a true team effort,” said Schulz. “Our steering committee members put in countless hours because they believe in Cave City’s potential. Now, with Main Street Arkansas as a partner, we’re ready to take that potential to the next level.”
