A 64-year-old Violet Hill man died Thursday after his all-terrain vehicle collided with a pickup truck in rural Izard County, authorities said.
Matthew Bruyette was driving a Polaris RZR eastbound on Johnson View Road near Wiseman when he struck the front of a Dodge Ram that was backing a trailer into a driveway, according to Izard County Sheriff Charley Melton.
The crash occurred at 4:05 p.m. on Wednesday at 4535 Johnson View Road. Weather conditions were clear, and the road was dry, Melton said in the fatality report.
Bruyette was transported to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, where he died from his injuries.
