Authorities in Independence County are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman reported missing earlier this week.
The sheriff’s office on Tuesday shared a Facebook post from Callie Moffitt, who said her mother, Jonnah Moffitt, has not been seen for more than 48 hours.
According to the post, Moffitt, described as about 5-foot-5 with long brown hair and an average build, was last seen wearing overalls and is believed to be on foot in the Batesville or Desha area. Family members said she may now be headed toward Searcy.
Anyone who may have seen Moffitt is asked to contact 870-376-9712 or 870-805-1336.
