A Mount Pleasant student is shining bright at Ozarka College — Angela Moore has been named the school’s 2025 Academic All-Star, recognizing her outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and community service.

Moore was honored during the annual Arkansas Community Colleges conference in Hot Springs last week, where each of the state’s two-year colleges celebrates one student who exemplifies excellence both in the classroom and in their communities.

A student pursuing an Associate of Science in Education, Moore works as a special education paraprofessional and volunteers with the Special Olympics. College officials said her commitment to learning and service reflects the spirit of the Academic All-Star distinction.

Ozarka College instructor Jill Sandlin described Moore as a student who “seeks out opportunities to contribute meaningfully and supports those around her with kindness and integrity.” Zeda Wilkerson, the college’s vice president of student services, said Moore’s work ethic and passion for helping others made her an ideal selection for the honor.

The Arkansas Community Colleges Academic All-Star Program recognizes one student from each two-year college for exemplary academic performance and service to others.
