A section of 20th Street in front of the Batesville Community Center will be closed for much of Tuesday as city landscape crews perform maintenance work, officials said.
The road will shut down at noon and is expected to remain closed until about 3 p.m. City staff will temporarily reopen the street to accommodate school traffic before restricting access again from roughly 4 to 4:30 p.m. After school dismissal, the closure will resume and continue until about 7 p.m.
City officials are asking drivers to plan alternate routes and to use caution in the area during the staggered closure.
