A minor was killed, and four people were injured Saturday evening in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Arkansas Highways 36 and 13, according to an Arkansas State Police fatality report.
The Searcy Police Department investigated the crash, which occurred about 6:38 p.m. Authorities said a westbound Ford F-250 on Highway 36 struck an eastbound Jeep Compass that was turning left onto Highway 13 and failed to yield the right of way.
A minor passenger in the Jeep died after being taken for medical treatment. Two other minor passengers and the Jeep’s driver, who is from Higginson, were injured. The driver of the Ford, identified as being from Romance, was also hurt.
