The Rotary Club of Batesville is asking residents to help identify the community’s unsung heroes as it opens nominations for its annual Outstanding Community Service Awards.
The awards are designed to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the area through their time, talent, and dedication. According to the club, the selection committee is looking for nominees who serve as role models for compassion and who have made a dramatic impact on the quality of life in Batesville.
Special emphasis is being placed on healthcare workers who go beyond the call of duty and education professionals who go out of their way to support local students.
“The honoree selected should serve as a role model for compassion and service,” the club said in its announcement, noting that the awards highlight those with a passion for helping others.
The nomination period is open through June 1. Community members can submit their nominations via email to BatesvilleArRotaryClub@gmail.com. You can also find the form on the club’s Facebook page.
Physical nominations may also be mailed to the Rotary Club of Batesville, Attn: Amanda Dickey/Community Awards, 2121 Harrison St., Batesville, AR 72501.
Winners will be recognized and celebrated during the organization’s Annual Rotary Award Banquet.
