The Rotary Club of Batesville has announced the recipients of its annual scholarships, awarded to five high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. Each student will receive a $1,000 scholarship for their chosen university.

This year’s winners are:

  • Hayden Taylor – Batesville High School
  • Gwendolyn Goodwin – Batesville High School
  • Lily Barker – Southside High School
  • Hunter Williford – Midland High School
  • Emilee Pankey – Cedar Ridge High School

According to a release from the organization, recipients were selected through a competitive process evaluating academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, character, and financial need. The scholarship program reflects the guiding principle of Rotary International: “Service Above Self.”

“Each of these students exemplifies the values of Rotary through their dedication to making a difference in their schools and communities,” said Dorothy Hennings, president of the Rotary Club of Batesville. “We are honored to support their educational journeys and look forward to the positive impact they will continue to make.”

The Rotary Club of Batesville has a long-standing history of supporting youth and education through scholarships, mentorship, and service initiatives. The program is funded by local donors and club members.

The club actively supports local and international service projects focused on education, health, and community development.
