Batesville woman killed in Sharp County pedestrian accident

The Arkansas State Police have released details on the death of a Batesville woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle last week in Sharp County.

According to the fatality report, a Dodge Ram was traveling north on Highway 167 near Evening Shade around 11 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, when it struck Sandi Zahn, 29, who was walking in the northbound lane of traffic.

Zahn was pronounced dead at the scene. Weather conditions were clear, and the road was dry at the time of the accident.
