A Melbourne man is facing multiple felony charges following his arrest last week in Izard County.
According to court records, James Bennett Powell (pictured), 20, was taken into custody early Thursday. He is charged with two counts of rape, three counts of second-degree sexual assault, and several additional charges involving sexual indecency with a child.
The alleged offenses occurred between March 8 and May 8.
Powell is being held at the Izard County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
Authorities have not released additional details.
