Construction on the Myers Street Improvement Project began Monday. A portion of the road is scheduled to remain closed through Aug. 12.
The closure affects Myers Street from Sidney Street to the intersection of Myers and 20th streets. The three-way intersection of Myers Street, 20th Street, and Pioneer Drive at the Batesville Community Center will also be closed during the project for the construction of a new roundabout.
The improvements aim to enhance traffic flow and safety along one of the city’s main corridors.
City officials are urging drivers to use alternate routes and expect delays throughout the closure.
