A 37-year-old Evening Shade man has been arrested on four counts of rape, a Class Y felony, according to court documents filed Sept. 11 in Sharp County Circuit Court.
Michael Leonard Hirschler was arrested Wednesday following an investigation that began Aug. 5 when authorities were contacted regarding allegations of sexual abuse involving a minor, according to the arrest affidavit.
The charges stem from incidents alleged to have occurred between Jan. 1, 2022, and Aug. 5, 2025, court documents state.
An arrest warrant was issued Sept. 15.
Class Y felonies carry a potential sentence of 10 to 40 years or life imprisonment under Arkansas law.
