Artoberfest draws big crowd to downtown Batesville for 9th year

The Batesville Area Arts Council hosted its ninth annual Artoberfest on Saturday, drawing a large crowd to downtown Batesville for a day celebrating art, music, and community.

More than 40 vendors participated in this year’s festival, showcasing the work of local and regional artists, makers, and food trucks. Live performances featured musicians Ed Casper, Pete Roulier and Sydney Franks, and Ashleigh Rogers.

Artoberfest also highlighted young artists through its Sidewalk Chalk Art Competition and Coloring Contest, which welcomed students from kindergarten through college.

Winners were chosen by community votes on the Batesville Area Arts Council’s Facebook page.

The Arts Council expressed gratitude for the community’s continued support and said it looks forward to expanding the event in future years.

Artoberfest 2025 was presented by Citizens Bank, with additional support from Bad Boy Mowers, Lyon College, Bank of Cave City, First Community Bank, Fuller Bumpers Attorney at Law, and FARCO.
