Main Street Batesville’s annual “Nightmare on Main” celebration returns Oct. 24–25 with two days of Halloween-themed fun in downtown Batesville — and this year, there’s no registration fee to join in.

Event organizers announced that, thanks to sponsorships from First Community Bank and the Toro Company, participation in the weekend’s festivities will be free.

Friday, Oct. 24, will feature a Community Movie Night at Maxfield Park. On Saturday, Oct. 25, the “Spooky Stacks” Halloween breakfast will take place at Sarah-Dipity from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by the Halloween Parade at 6 p.m. The evening concludes with the Monster Bash dance right after the parade and a costume contest beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Throughout both nights, local venues Polk & Paddle and The Board on 3rd will host “Boos & Brews,” offering themed drinks and live music.

Main Street Batesville representatives Sydney Wood and James Gage spoke with Chad Whiteaker on Arkansas 103.3 Wednesday morning about the event and encouraged the community to take part in the Halloween festivities.
