Cushman residents have a full week to clear out unwanted items as the city launched its 2025 Citywide Cleanup on Monday.
The event runs daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the water tower lot on Collietown Road, where the city will place dumpsters inside the fenced area for public use. Residents can dispose of discarded furniture, appliances, scrap metal, batteries, and other eligible items.
City officials say several materials will not be accepted, including paint cans, household hazardous waste, fluorescent bulbs, tires, brush, construction debris, television sets, computer monitors, and junk vehicles. Items may not be left on the sides of city streets, and the city will not pick them up.
To reduce litter, residents are urged to secure loads with tarps or straps before transporting them. No assistance will be provided for unloading, and the city reserves the right to refuse any item brought to the site.
Anyone with questions can contact Cushman City Hall at 870-613-8857. Callers who reach voicemail are asked to leave a name and contact number.
