The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting families to experience White River Wonderland like never before during this year’s Holiday SPECTacular, a celebration that transforms the Christmas Capital of Arkansas into a glowing, immersive world of holiday magic.

This year’s event debuts special-edition Holiday SPECS, whimsical glasses that turn each twinkle of light into a holiday-shaped display. Thousands of local students will receive the glasses at school and are encouraged to bring them to the park, where millions of lights will appear to burst into festive life.

During opening weekend, beloved Christmas movie characters will help launch the celebration, handing out official Christmas Capital of Arkansas Holiday SPECS and greeting guests of all ages.

The Holiday SPECTacular will take place Friday, Nov. 28, and Saturday, Nov. 29, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Batesville Community Center grounds. The event will include live entertainment, character appearances and family activities while renovations continue at Riverside Park.

Admission to White River Wonderland is free and open to the public.

The event is supported by Bad Boy Mowers, First Community Bank, Merchants & Planters Bank, Spartan Mowers & UTVs, Ozark Mountain Poultry, Peco Foods, The UPS Store, Centennial Bank, FARCO, FNBC and Mini Mall Storage.

Visitors can also enjoy fan-favorite attractions such as Selfies with Santa, horse-drawn carriage rides, the White River Express, the Avalanche Mega-Slide, Reindeer Racing, synthetic-surface ice skating and treats from the Christmas Concession Stand. White River Wonderland will be open daily from 5 p.m. to midnight, Nov. 26 through Jan. 4.
