Maureen Harrod – Kimberly Edington
A recount has confirmed Kimberly Edington as the winner in the race for 16th Judicial District Circuit Judge, Position 4, following a challenge by opponent Maureen Harrod.
Harrod requested the recount in four counties after unofficial results from last Tuesday’s election showed Edington leading by a narrow margin of 25 votes.
Election officials conducted a review of ballots in the specified counties over the last several days. Following the audit, authorities confirmed that the recount did not change the overall outcome of the race.
The 16th Judicial District serves Independence, Izard, Fulton, Stone, and Cleburne counties.
Election results for the district are scheduled to be officially certified later this week.
