Trout Creek Fire Reported Near Sisters

A new wildfire was reported three miles southwest of Sisters Sunday afternoon. The Trout Creek Fire was estimated at 43 acres and was 60 percent contained as of  Sunday at 9:00 p.m. The cause is under investigation. According to Central Oregon Fire Info, the closest recent prescribed burn is approximately half a mile away.

5/3 | 9 p.m. — Firefighters have line around 60% of the fire. Resources will be remaining on scene overnight.

5/3 | 8 p.m. — Firefighters have line around approximately a quarter of the fire. Fire behavior is decreasing as relative humidity increases.
