A Cherokee Village woman was killed Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash near Hardy in Sharp County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
State police identified the victim as 75-year-old Emma S. Baumann.
Investigators said the crash happened shortly after 2:20 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 62 and State Highway 175. Baumann was driving a 2000 Ford Ranger north on Highway 175 when her vehicle pulled into the path of a westbound 2024 Ford F-250, according to a preliminary crash summary.
Baumann died in the crash. No injuries were listed for the driver of the second vehicle.
Troopers reported cloudy weather and wet road conditions at the time of the collision. The crash remains under investigation by the Arkansas State Police.
