Dr. Lynda Beth Milligan is coming home to help local women take charge of their health and support a vital community cause. The Little Rock physician and Batesville native will serve as the featured speaker for the 20th annual Red Hot Ladies Luncheon, scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, April 10, at Independence Hall on the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville campus.

Approximately 300 guests are expected to attend the festive event, which features a silent auction, a raffle, and a mission to inspire healthy lifestyle changes among women in Independence County.

This year’s luncheon, again sponsored by Citizens Bank, will benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center of Independence County in its efforts to protect and heal victims of child abuse. Since its debut in 2006, the event has raised roughly $218,000 for various nonprofits.

Joyce Prickett and Citizens Bank’s Community Engagement Officer Ashley Davis recently visited with White River Now’s Chad Whiteaker on Arkansas 103.3 KWOZ to discusss this year’s event and its 20th anniversary. Listen to their conversation below:

Attendees have the chance to win a 60-inch Bad Boy Mowers ZT Avenger, valued at $5,500, with raffle tickets available for $10 each or three for $25 at Citizens Bank branches or online.
