First Community Bank has made two personnel moves, bringing in an experienced branch development executive and promoting a longtime employee to lead its credit card program.
Sandy Starnes has joined the bank as senior vice president and director of branch development, while Cassandra Huff has been promoted to vice president and credit card manager.
Starnes will work alongside executive leadership to support the bank’s branch expansion strategy and lead development initiatives across its growing footprint. She brings 18 years of financial services experience and a background in community banking.
“Community banking is what I know and love, which makes joining First Community Bank and supporting its branch expansion incredibly exciting,” Starnes said. “I’m honored to work alongside a team that cares so deeply about the people and places we serve and to help bring that impact to more communities across the state.”
Michelle Reesor, executive vice president and chief risk officer, said Starnes’s background will be key to the bank’s continued growth.
“Sandy brings a deep understanding of community banking and a thoughtful, strategic approach to branch development,” Reesor said. “Her experience and passion for serving others make her a great addition to our team as we continue to expand and invest in the communities we serve.”
Starnes serves on advisory boards for the American Bankers Association Professional Development Council and BankOn Arkansas and is involved with the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, with a focus on economic development and education. She and her husband, Michael, have two sons, Tucker and Fletcher.
In her expanded role, Huff will oversee the bank’s credit card portfolio, customer experience, and growth of card services, while continuing to handle lending responsibilities. She brings 26 years of banking experience to the position.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue growing with First Community Bank,” Huff said. “I’m excited to step into this role and focus on strengthening our credit card program while continuing to serve our customers and communities.”
Leann Siler, senior vice president for commercial and regional retail lending, praised Huff’s track record.
“Cassandra has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, deep industry knowledge, and a genuine commitment to our customers,” Siler said. “Her experience and dedication make her well-prepared for this role, and we are excited to see her step into this leadership position.”
Huff has served on the Batesville Rotary Club board for 15 years, the Ozark Gateway Tourist Council board for seven years, and is a graduate of Leadership Batesville. She and her husband, Shannon, reside in Batesville.
Huff’s office is at 1325 Harrison Street in Batesville. Lobby hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
